The non-profit SWFL Gay and Lesbian chorus is seeking the talents of a new Artistic Director! If you fit this bill, come and join the second oldest LGBT organization in SWFL! Our new director will prepare beginner to advanced singers for concerts throughout the year. Traditionally we have a two season year - fall/winter and spring. The director will work with the chorus board on selections of music to be performed. Our fun and enlivening rehearsals in central Fort Myers are on Tuesday evenings and occasionally we have extra "sectionals", based on need.
Our new director will need to be proficient enough on the piano to act as rehearsal accompanist and also guide the normal/performance accompanist. We are looking for a positive, upbeat, good communicator and as with any other cool group, we need you to be patient with us and have fun!!! A member of our LGBT family is preferred. We would love a volunteer but we are not necessarily asking for that, we do have limited funds for compensation.
The chorus is very excited about working toward the upcoming GALA convention in 2012 in Denver! This is an event any Artistic Director would love to represent SWFL at as well as an exciting group such as ours! Don't delay!
