The Big Reveal!! Founding Director, Stephen Brittain returns!!
Last night at the Meet & Greet, Chorus “lite” was revealed! The SWFGLC will be singing a “mini” concert at the SWFL Pride event on October 9th. Founding Director, Stephen Brittain will be returning as our guest Director to prepare us for this exciting event. This is a perfect opportunity for all past members to rejoin the chorus and reconnect with old friends and renew those old friendships as well as being the perfect time for others to explore the choral experience with only a 6 week commitment. Come find your “voice” and give something back to the local community by participating with the Chorus for in the Pride Activities on October 9th. The 6 fun filled rehearsals start next Tuesday, August 31st at 7:00pm at St. John the Apostle, MCC, 3049 McGregor Blvd. Ft. Myers, Fl. Do you want to be part of an organization that is bringing the community together?  Pride-SWFL is looking for volunteers to put on a pride fest!
 
Pride-SWFL will meet on Saturday, May 8, 2010 at 1:00 PM at the South Lee County Library located at 21100 Three Oaks Parkway, Estero FL 33928.  The library is just north of Corkscrew Road on the west side of the road.  
 
At this meeting we want to evaluate the organization’s success in the ICAN Aids Walk, the Family Pride Day picnic/potluck and the Healing of the Hearts Benefit.  Assuming the BOD decides to more forward, a date and location need to be selected for the next ”pride festival.”

3rd annual Survivors Stepping Out 5k walk sponsored by The Kaleidoscope Project for the continuing effort to raise awareness and prevention of suicide within the GLBT community.  Please come out and help us remember all that have lost their life to suicide and the survivors of suicide.  Please see the following link for more information.  http://www.active.com/donate/careswalk/rainbows .  This event will take place at Veterans Park on Coronado Parkway in Cape Coral.  Any questions, contact Jessica: jessicawickey@hotmail.com .  There is also a show at Mardi Gras later the same day @ 10 pm to support this cause.  Valene & Friends $8 cover.
